The Town of Pound has received funding through the Wisconsin DOT Argricultural Roads Improvement Program (ARIP). The project State/Municipal Agreement (SMA) generally includes the following work for N. 9th Road from CTH B to STH 64:
- Pulverizing existing pavements
- Re-grading of the roadway as necessary
- Re-grading of ditches and/or establishing ditches
- Culvert replacement/installation as necessary
- Roadway widening
- Existing road varies in width from 20’ to 22’ of asphalt pavement with a 1’ gravel/grass shoulders
- Proposed road to have a width of 22’ of asphalt pavement with 3’ gravel shoulders
- Pavement section improvements
- Pavements to be designed to remove the need for seasonal weight restrictions
- Slow Vehicle Turn Outs
- Clearing and grubbing
- Landscape restoration
The Town is holding a public informational meeting (PIM) on February 20th from 6:30pm to 8:00pm at the Town Hall located at W8484 County Road B. The meeting will consist of a short presentation (15 minutes or less) followed by an open question/answer session with project representatives from Cedar Corporation. You do not need to attend the entire meeting and can arrive anytime. There will be project handouts and comment forms available at the meeting for you to provide feedback regarding the project.
